Accismus
A downloadable game for Windows
In Accismus you solve puzzles by sacrificing some of your movement capabilities.
The game is set in an abstract, colorful and blocky world and deals with the topic of control over both yourself and other people. That sounds pretty close to home, doesn't it?
This was my first game jam entry so every feedback is very welcomed, feel free to rate and comment with your thoughts! :)
Controls:
WASD - Movement
E - Interaction
R - Restart Level
After interacting with a platform you press either W, A, S, or D to select which key to sacrifice to open the door.
Interacting with a platform second time closes the doors and returns you the control over the chosen key.
IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS:
- This game was made as part of GMTK Game Jam and not everything is finished, but there should not be any gamebreaking bugs as far as I know
- After unpacking the downloaded Windows version go to AccismusForWindowsFinal -> WindowsNoEditor and run GMTKGJEntry.exe (sorry for the inconvenient naming)
- Sadly the uploaded build doesn't include the end screen. The game ends when you get to the "Hanging Bridge" level. There should be a message there. I will include it at the end of this page for everyone interested to see.
- There is one serious visual bug that I am aware of right now, but it won't block your progress. In the <SPOILER> "who is playing now" room, magenta gate doesn't visually pull up after "closing it" but it still blocks the way </SPOILER> but it's just a visual thing.

Ending message below:
Warning very "minor" spoilers, come here only after you reach the bridge section.
"This is where the journey ends... Or maybe it is only the beginning. Who knows, but for now we all deserve some rest
Thank you for playing my game!"
Yeah... the message was kind of last minute anyway. But hey you've came here to read it so I'll give you one more thing. Did you see the small flying cylinders with spotlights comming out of them at the bridge(it is also on screenshot on this page)? It is an enemy design from the first concept of the game. The "Searchlight" would move in a fixed pattern when your character moved, so it was an turn based obstacle of some sort in the first iteration of the game. They still move when you move too!
